The brief

From shell to homes

Block A7 housed eighteen families in a structure that had gone decades without major maintenance — failing roofing and ceilings, decayed render, broken sanitary fittings and unsafe electricals.

Bedrock stripped the block back to its structural shell, then rebuilt: new blockwork where walls had failed, fresh concrete works, full re-plastering inside and out, new ceilings, floor and wall tiling, modern bathrooms, new doors, windows and electrical installations — finished in the barracks' signature yellow with red banding.

The block was delivered complete and handed over with all eighteen quarters ready for families to move back in.
